As part of his new culinary project, renowned chef Akis Petretzikis recently visited Volos and made a special stop at the traditional Straka sausage workshop.

With a history that dates back to 1850, the “Strakas” company is a reference point for the authentic PELIORITIAN sausage of Volos. Akis had the opportunity to see the production process up close, cook with the workshop team and exchange views on gastronomy and local flavors.
The experience was captured on camera and is expected to be shown to a television audience soon, bringing to the fore yet another delicious story with deep roots in tradition.
